Practice Rules

Your physiotherapist keeps a record of your medical and administrative data in order to provide the best possible treatment. We ask that you take note of the following rules.

Appointments

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Arriving more than fifteen minutes late is considered a missed appointment.
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your appointment by phone at least 24 hours in advance.
Without timely cancellation, the practice may choose to charge a no-show fee.
Please bring your insurance card, identity document and any referral to your first appointment. A doctor's referral is always required for chronic conditions and group therapy.

Insurance

You are responsible for checking whether your supplementary insurance covers physiotherapy.
If you are not (sufficiently) insured, payment must be made in cash or via an invoice to be settled within 14 days.

Data & Privacy

The registration of your medical and administrative data is subject to the Personal Data Protection Act, which governs the purpose of registration, the nature of the data, its management, access rights and your right to inspect your file.
Only data relevant to your treatment is stored in the medical file.
Only the physiotherapist(s) working at the practice have access to registered data. Everyone is bound by a duty of confidentiality.
Client data is not shared with third parties, including close family members.
Data is only released after the client has given explicit consent. Data will not be disclosed after death.
After the treatment has concluded, data is archived for 15 years and only accessible to staff within the practice.
If you believe the practice is not handling your data correctly, you may raise this through the applicable complaints procedure.

Complaints & Liability

If you have a complaint about your physiotherapist, you are welcome to discuss this with them first. If this does not lead to a satisfactory outcome, you may contact an external complaints committee. Ask your physiotherapist which committee the practice is affiliated with.
The practice is not liable for theft of personal belongings on the premises.
Upon registration, we assume that you have read and agreed to these practice rules.

Treatment conduct

The treatment approach is explained in advance, including which actions will be performed. If you have any objections, please state them immediately.
If your beliefs or convictions mean you object to certain procedures or forms of treatment, please communicate this at your first appointment so the physiotherapist can assess whether treatment is possible.
If you object to being treated by a physiotherapist of a different gender, please indicate this before the first consultation. Failing to do so may result in costs being charged.
Treatment takes place in a private room with only the physiotherapist and client present. Only during group therapy will multiple people be in the same space.
If third parties (such as an intern) are present during treatment, your consent will be requested in advance.
Should any unwanted situations arise, an alternative physiotherapist will be arranged or the treatment ended, in consultation with the client.
All topics discussed during treatment remain confidential and will not be shared with third parties.

Hygiene

We ask that you wear clean sportswear and clean footwear during treatment.
Please avoid strong perfumes or fragrances in the treatment room.
